IMPROVING MATHEMATICAL SKILLS AMONG RURAL STUDENTS IN KOGI STATE USING IMPROVISATION TECHNIQUE

Mathematics remains an essential part of the education system in educational landscape Nigeria. It is a compulsory subject at all levels and prerequisite for academic transition. Thus, proficiency basic concepts mathematic progression better adjustment contemporary society. However, has been fraught with challenges ranging from learner characteristics to instructional strategies. Intimations point prevalence poor mathematical skills among rural students Kogi state The present study aimed test effect improvising materials on improving math-related states communities. population included primary school students. One hundred eighty-six 5 6 constituted samples. A quasi-experimental design was used. result established statistically significant difference between experimental control group math skills. concludes that improvisation mathematics widely researched approach could enhance findings recommendations are discussed.
